“Wild Orangutan”
Kalimantan is one of the last places in the world to see
orangutan in the wild. Unfortunately, the orangutan habitat is rapidly dissapearing
due to deforestation from palm oil plantations and mining. There is also plenty
of other wildlife, as Tanjung Puting National Park is a mega biodiversity
hotspot.
4. Baluran National Park
It is located at Situbondo Regency, East Java, Indonesia. It
has a relatively dry climate and mainly consists of savanna (40%) as well as
lowland forest, mangrove forest, and hills with Mount Baluran. Baluran is
unique in many ways. It has a rich wildlife and may be there are no other
national park that are so easy to visit and where it is so easy to see wild
animals. You don’t even have to walk, unless you want to. See photo Baluran.
